Acceptable Use Policy

CS Glory LLC

Effective Date: April 3, 2026 Last Updated: April 3, 2026

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines the rules of conduct on the CS Glory platform. It applies to all users and all activity on the Service, including matchmaking, chat, profiles, and any interaction with other users.

This AUP is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Service. Violations may result in enforcement actions up to and including permanent account suspension.

2. General Principles

CS Glory exists to provide a fair, competitive, and respectful environment for Counter-Strike players. We expect all users to:

  • Compete honestly and in good faith
  • Treat other players with basic respect
  • Report violations rather than retaliating
  • Accept match outcomes and enforcement decisions

3. Prohibited Conduct

3.1 Cheating and Exploits

The following are strictly prohibited:

  • Cheating software: Using aimbots, wallhacks, triggerbots, ESP, radar hacks, or any software that provides information or capabilities not available through normal gameplay
  • Exploits: Abusing game bugs, map exploits, or unintended mechanics for competitive advantage (common movement techniques like bunny hopping are permitted)
  • External assistance tools: Using macros, scripts, automation tools, or any input-modifying software (hardware mouse/keyboard macros are permitted if they do not simulate multiple inputs or automate gameplay actions)
  • Injection or modification: Attempting to modify the CS:GO game client, inject code into the game process, or tamper with game files in any way that affects competitive play
  • Information gathering tools: Using software to extract information from the game client that is not normally visible (e.g., reading memory, packet sniffing for player positions)

3.2 Competitive Integrity Violations

  • Smurfing: Creating or using multiple accounts to play at a lower Elo than your actual skill level
  • Boosting: Playing on another user's account, or having another person play on your account, to artificially inflate or deflate Elo ratings
  • Sandbagging: Intentionally losing or performing poorly to lower your Elo rating
  • Match fixing: Colluding with opponents to predetermine match outcomes, including win trading
  • Queue manipulation: Using multiple accounts, coordinated queue timing, or other techniques to manipulate matchmaking (e.g., queue sniping to match against friends)
  • Stream sniping: Watching an opponent's live broadcast to gain information during an active match
  • Lobby abuse: Repeatedly joining and abandoning matchmaking queues to disrupt the system

3.3 Gameplay Disruption

  • Abandoning matches: Leaving or disconnecting from an active competitive match without a valid reason
  • AFK/Non-participation: Joining a match and failing to actively participate (going AFK, spinning in spawn)
  • Team killing/griefing: Intentionally damaging, flashing, or blocking teammates
  • Intentional feeding: Deliberately dying repeatedly or giving away positional information to opponents
  • Communication abuse: Spamming voice or text chat during matches to disrupt team communication

3.4 Harassment and Abuse

  • Hate speech: Slurs, bigotry, or discriminatory language targeting race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics
  • Harassment: Targeted, repeated, or sustained abuse directed at specific individuals, including threats, intimidation, or stalking behavior
  • Sexual content: Sharing sexually explicit material or making unwanted sexual comments
  • Doxxing: Sharing or threatening to share another user's real-world personal information (name, address, phone number, workplace, etc.)
  • Death threats or incitement to violence: Any threats of real-world harm
  • Impersonation: Pretending to be another user, a CS Glory staff member, or any other person or entity

3.5 Account Violations

  • Multiple accounts: Maintaining more than one CS Glory account per person
  • Account sharing: Allowing another person to access or use your account
  • Account trading/selling: Selling, buying, or trading CS Glory accounts
  • False reporting: Submitting knowingly false reports against other users
  • Ban evasion: Creating a new account or using technical means to circumvent a ban or suspension

3.6 Reverse Engineering

  • Decompiling or reverse engineering: Attempting to decompile, disassemble, reverse engineer, or derive the source code of the Service, its APIs, or any related systems, except as expressly permitted by applicable law (including EU Directive 2009/24/EC regarding decompilation for interoperability)
  • Protocol analysis: Intercepting, analyzing, or manipulating network traffic between the client and the Service for purposes other than normal gameplay
  • Circumvention: Bypassing or attempting to bypass any technical measures, rate limits, authentication mechanisms, or access controls

3.7 Commercial Exploitation of Competitive Integrity

  • Selling boosting services: Advertising, offering, or selling services to artificially inflate other users' Elo ratings
  • Account marketplaces: Facilitating the sale, trade, or transfer of CS Glory accounts
  • Match-fixing for profit: Arranging match outcomes for gambling, betting, or any financial gain

3.8 Platform Abuse

  • Unauthorized access: Attempting to access accounts, systems, or data you are not authorized to access
  • API abuse: Using automated tools to scrape, crawl, or excessively query the CS Glory API outside of normal use
  • Spam: Sending unsolicited bulk messages through chat or any other communication channel
  • Commercial exploitation: Using the Service for unauthorized commercial purposes (advertising, solicitation, selling services)
  • Malware distribution: Sharing or promoting malicious software, phishing links, or scam content

3.9 Off-Platform Conduct

While we do not proactively monitor activity outside the Service, we reserve the right to take enforcement action based on off-platform conduct that:

  • Directly harms other CS Glory users (e.g., doxxing a CS Glory player on social media)
  • Undermines competitive integrity (e.g., promoting or selling cheats publicly)
  • Brings the CS Glory community into disrepute while representing themselves as a CS Glory user (e.g., hate speech while streaming CS Glory matches)

We will not act on off-platform conduct unless it is reported to us and we can reasonably verify its connection to a CS Glory user.

4. Enforcement

4.1 Graduated Enforcement

We apply penalties proportionally based on the severity of the violation and the user's history:

LevelActionTypical Triggers
1. WarningWritten notice via notificationFirst minor offense (mild chat toxicity, single AFK incident)
2. MuteChat restriction (1-24 hours)Repeated communication abuse
3. CooldownMatchmaking cooldown (30 min - 7 days, escalating)Match abandonment, repeated griefing
4. Temporary SuspensionFull account suspension (7-90 days)Serious violations, repeated offenses
5. Permanent SuspensionAccount permanently disabledConfirmed cheating, match fixing, extreme harassment, repeated serious offenses
6. Hardware RestrictionAccess restricted at hardware level (device identifiers blocked)Repeated ban evasion (5+ banned accounts), confirmed cheat development or distribution

4.2 Cooldown Escalation Schedule

For matchmaking cooldowns (abandonment, griefing, queue dodging):

Offense #Cooldown Duration
1st30 minutes
2nd2 hours
3rd24 hours
4th72 hours (3 days)
5th+168 hours (7 days)

Cooldown escalation resets after 30 days without a new offense.

4.3 Immediate Action Offenses

The following violations bypass graduated enforcement and result in immediate suspension or permanent ban:

  • Confirmed cheating (software-based)
  • Match fixing
  • Death threats or credible threats of real-world violence
  • Doxxing
  • Child exploitation content
  • Distributed cheat development or distribution
  • Extreme ban evasion (5+ banned accounts)

4.4 Cheating Detection Confidence

For automated anti-cheat detections, enforcement is scaled by confidence:

ConfidenceAction
Low (flagged for review)No automatic action; queued for manual review
MediumTemporary suspension pending manual review
HighPermanent suspension; eligible for appeal

All permanent bans based on automated detection include manual review before finalization.

4.5 Public Disclosure

Users confirmed to have used cheating software may have their in-game name and Steam ID publicly disclosed on the Service. This serves as a deterrent and maintains community trust in competitive integrity. If a cheating detection is overturned on appeal, the public disclosure will be removed promptly.

5. Reporting

5.1 How to Report

You can report violations:

  • In-match: Through the in-game reporting interface (when available)
  • Post-match: Through the match history reporting function
  • Email: abuse@csglory.com with relevant details (usernames, match ID, screenshots/evidence)

5.2 What to Include

Effective reports include:

  • The username or Steam ID of the offending user
  • The match ID (if applicable)
  • A description of the violation
  • Evidence (screenshots, timestamps, demo tick numbers)

5.3 False Reports

Submitting knowingly false reports is itself a violation and subject to enforcement. We track reporting patterns and may restrict reporting privileges for users who abuse the system.

5.4 Report Confidentiality

We do not disclose the identity of reporters to the reported user. Report details are kept confidential except as necessary for investigation.

6. Appeals

6.1 Who Can Appeal

Any user who has received a penalty of Level 3 (Cooldown) or higher may appeal. For EU/EEA users, in compliance with the Digital Services Act, appeal rights extend to all enforcement levels including warnings and mutes.

6.2 How to Appeal

Submit an appeal to legal@csglory.com within 30 days of the enforcement action. Your appeal must include:

  • Your CS Glory username and Steam ID
  • The penalty you are appealing
  • Why you believe the penalty was issued in error, with any supporting evidence

6.3 Review Process

  • Appeals are reviewed by a human - not solely by automated systems
  • We aim to respond within 14 days of receiving a complete appeal
  • During appeal review, the penalty remains in effect unless we determine interim relief is appropriate
  • The appeal decision is final, except for EU/EEA users who may seek further resolution through an out-of-court dispute settlement body (see Terms of Service Section 13.7)

6.4 EU/EEA Users - Digital Services Act Compliance

For users in the EU/EEA, in compliance with the Digital Services Act:

  • All enforcement actions include a clear explanation of which rule was violated, what evidence was relied upon, and whether automated tools were involved in the detection
  • You have the right to appeal any enforcement decision
  • Your appeal will be reviewed by a qualified person (not solely by automated means)
  • You will receive a reasoned decision in response to your appeal
  • You have the right to seek resolution through a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body

7. Scope and Interpretation

7.1 Not Exhaustive

The prohibited conduct listed in Section 3 is not exhaustive. We reserve the right to take enforcement action against behavior that violates the spirit of fair play and community respect, even if not specifically listed.

7.2 Evolving Standards

As the competitive CS:GO landscape evolves, we may update this AUP to address new forms of misconduct. Material changes will be communicated with at least 30 days' notice before taking effect, consistent with our Terms of Service.

7.3 Discretion

All enforcement decisions involve human judgment. We consider context, severity, intent, history, and impact when determining appropriate action. The penalty levels in Section 4 are guidelines, not rigid rules - we may apply more or less severe penalties depending on circumstances.
