Cookie Policy
CS Glory LLC
Effective Date: April 3, 2026 Last Updated: May 22, 2026
1. Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how CS Glory LLC ("CS Glory," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on csglory.com and related subdomains ("the Service"). This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
2. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They serve various purposes including remembering your preferences, keeping you signed in, and helping us understand how the Service is used.
"Similar technologies" include localStorage, sessionStorage, and other browser storage mechanisms that function analogously to cookies.
3. Cookies and Technologies We Use
3.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for the Service to function. They cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality. No consent is required for these cookies under ePrivacy regulations.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
better-auth.session_token | csglory.com (.csglory.com domain) | Authentication session. Identifies your logged-in session. | Session / configurable expiry | HTTP cookie (httpOnly, secure, sameSite: lax) |
| Zustand auth state | csglory.com (localStorage) | Client-side auth state persistence for the single-page application. Mirrors server session state for UI rendering. Not an HTTP cookie - stored in browser localStorage but functionally required for the application to work. | Until logout or manual clear | localStorage |
| __cf_bm | Cloudflare (.csglory.com domain) | Bot management. Distinguishes humans from automated traffic. Set by Cloudflare's infrastructure; CS Glory does not control its contents. | 30 minutes | HTTP cookie (secure, sameSite: none) |
Cookie attributes: The session cookie is set with httpOnly (not accessible to JavaScript), secure (transmitted only over HTTPS), sameSite: lax (CSRF protection), and scoped to the .csglory.com domain.
3.2 Functional Storage
These technologies remember your preferences. They are not cookies in the technical sense but serve a similar function. No consent is required as they are necessary for functionality you have explicitly requested.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
csglory-theme | csglory.com (localStorage) | Remembers your chosen theme (modern or classic). | Until manually changed | localStorage |
csglory-region | csglory.com (localStorage) | Remembers your selected matchmaking region. | Until manually changed | localStorage |
csglory-presence | csglory.com (localStorage) | Stores your presence/online status preference. | Until manually changed | localStorage |
3.3 Analytics Cookies (Consent Required)
These cookies help us understand how users interact with the Service. They are only set in production and only after you provide consent.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| PostHog cookies | eu.i.posthog.com / eu.posthog.com (PostHog EU) | Product analytics: page views, page leave events, client-side error tracking, device/browser info. Used to improve the Service. | Per PostHog defaults (typically 1 year) | HTTP cookie |
| PostHog localStorage entries | csglory.com (localStorage) | PostHog session replay config, distinct ID, feature flags. | Until cleared | localStorage |
PostHog configuration details:
- Sent directly to PostHog EU ingestion (
eu.i.posthog.com) so CS Glory authentication cookies scoped to.csglory.comare never in scope for analytics requests - PostHog EU instance (
eu.posthog.com) - data stored in the EU person_profiles: "identified_only"- analytics linked to accounts only for logged-in users- Browser credential sending is disabled for PostHog XHR transport, and beacon transport is disabled for additional auth-cookie isolation
- Captures: pageviews, page leaves, client-side exceptions
- Does not capture: session recordings, heatmaps, form inputs
3.4 Marketing/Advertising Cookies
We do not use any marketing or advertising cookies. We do not serve ads, participate in ad networks, or use retargeting technologies.
4. Third-Party Cookies
We do not allow third-party advertising cookies on the Service.
The only third-party-adjacent cookies are PostHog analytics cookies, which are set by PostHog EU hosts outside the .csglory.com authentication cookie scope. The underlying data is processed by PostHog, Inc. under our Data Processing Agreement.
Cloudflare may set cookies related to bot detection and DDoS protection (e.g., __cf_bm). These are strictly necessary security cookies set by our infrastructure provider and cannot be disabled.
5. How to Manage Cookies
5.1 Consent Banner
When you first visit the Service, you will be presented with a cookie consent mechanism that allows you to:
- Accept all cookies - enables analytics cookies
- Reject non-essential cookies - only strictly necessary cookies and functional storage will be used
- Manage preferences - choose which categories to enable
You can change your cookie preferences at any time through the cookie settings accessible in the site footer.
5.2 Browser Settings
You can also control cookies through your browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Cookies and website data
- Edge: Settings > Privacy, search, and services > Cookies
Blocking all cookies may impair the functionality of the Service (specifically, authentication will not work without the session cookie).
5.3 Global Privacy Control (GPC)
We honor GPC signals. If your browser sends a GPC signal, we will treat it as an opt-out of non-essential cookies and will not load analytics cookies.
5.4 Do Not Track (DNT)
We also honor DNT headers. If your browser sends a DNT signal, analytics cookies will not be loaded.
6. Cookie Retention
| Category | Retention |
|---|---|
| Session cookie | Until session expires or you log out |
| Theme preference | Until you change it or clear localStorage |
| Analytics cookies | Per PostHog defaults (typically up to 1 year) |
| Cloudflare security cookies | Session-based (expire when browser closes) |
7. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Material changes will be communicated through the cookie consent mechanism (prompting you to review and re-consent if necessary) and updated on this page.
